Terms and Conditions

1. Health

  • General Health: Pets must be in good health upon arrival. You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or ongoing treatments before booking.
  • Refusal: I reserve the right to refuse boarding if an animal appears infectious, severely ill, or carries untreated parasites.

2. Veterinary Care and Emergencies

  • Authorisation: In the event of illness or injury, you authorise me to seek veterinary attention for your pet.
  • Vet Selection: I will attempt to use your preferred vet practice. If unavailable, I will use my nearest Aylesbury vet practice.
  • Fees: All veterinary fees incurred during the stay are the sole responsibility of the owner and must be paid in full upon collection of the pet.
  • Euthanasia: In extreme circumstances, veterinary advice will strictly dictate emergency medical choices if I cannot contact you immediately.

3. Diets and Supplies

  • Dry Food: Owners must supply enough pellet food/nuggets for the entire stay to avoid sudden dietary changes and stomach upsets.
  • Fresh Food & Hay: I will provide unlimited fresh hay, water, and daily fresh vegetables unless specified otherwise. Please list any dietary exclusions on your booking form.

4. Fees, Cancellations, and Bookings

  • Payment: Boarding fees must be paid by the final day of boarding.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date may incur a cancellation fee of 50%.
  • Late Collection: Pets not collected on the agreed date will be charged at the standard daily rate.

5. Abandonment

  • If a pet is not collected within 7 days of the agreed collection date and I cannot contact you or your emergency contact, the pet will be classified as abandoned. I will contact an animal rescue centre to rehome the animal.

6. Liability

  • While I promise to provide the highest standard of indoor care and security, pets are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk.
  • Walks and Wheeks is not liable for illness, escape, or natural death while the pet is in my care, provided all safety and care protocols were correctly followed.
